  • Managing Diversity -The old ways of managing a heterogeneous workforce just don’t work anymore. Employers now hire diverse employees in terms of age, appearance, experience, lifestyle and physical ability. Managing Diversity will help develop strategies to attract, retain and manage diverse employees. By the end of this session participants will:

  • Understand the definition of diversity;
  • Recruit and select employees from a wider talent pool;
  • Improve team functioning and performance;
  • Develop a greater capacity for problem solving;
  • Understand inclusivity and its benefits to the organization.
  • HR Systems and Processes-Learn how to develop and implement systems and processes that comply with federal and state employment laws using best practices from major corporations. By the end of the segment, participants will understand how to:

  • Develop effective employment policies;
  • Organize and manage a human resources function;
  • Source, attract, interview and hire key talent.
  • Leadership Development-Leadership is a key for effective and successful business results; therefore, this segment will provide an overview of critical leadership competencies and behaviors that every leader should possess. At the end of the segment, participants will understand:

  • The definition of leadership;
  • Key leadership competencies necessary for success;
  • Admirable leadership behaviors sought by subordinates;
  • Insight into their own leadership styles.
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention-This workshop segment is designed to help managers and department heads understand that Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination, which violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. By the end of this segment, participants will understand:

  • What constitutes sexual harassment;
  • A manager’s role and responsibility regarding sexual harassment;
  • Implications for sexual harassment allegations;
  • The sexual harassment reporting process.
  • Labor-Management Relations-This workshop segment will highlight the history of labor relations in the United States and the legislation that established the National Labor Relations Act. The learning focus will be on the manager’s role and responsibility for understanding the dynamics of employee productivity and leadership in a union environment. At the end of this segment, participants will understand:

  • The National Labor Relations Act/Board;
  • What constitutes a bargaining unit;
  • Why and how Unions are formed;
  • The grievance process;
  • Managing employee performance and productivity.
  • Employee Performance Management-This topic is designed to help business leaders optimize employee and organizational by increasing their competences in performance management. At the end of this segment, participants will understand:

  • The definition of performance management;
  • Strategic performance management systems;
  • The performance management process;
  • Coaching and counseling techniques;
  • How to conduct a performance discussion.
